On the Cover: Ashleigh Ashburn is a local lifelong artist based out of Columbia MD. She is pursuing a major in Visual Arts at Howard Community College where she has reawakened a passion for art through photography and graphic design. Ashleigh’s fascination lies in bringing attention to things easily forgotten or passed by unnoticed. She enjoys discovering unique elements in the minute details. In her creative process, Ashleigh seeks to amplify the subtleties of the human experience, providing viewers with a new perspective on life through enhanced detail, shadow, and color. Encouraging viewers to step back (or step in) and observe the world’s full complexity. Since enrolling at HCC, several of her pieces have been included in the Student Invitational Exhibitions.
