6 The great climate change

[A CLIMATE crisis — a climate of grades –that got so heated and competitive that it was killing happiness and joy of learning, a focus on student empowerment. Maybe the climate caused the Grade Bunch to transform….and through a student-initiated movement, turned the Grade Bunch into a Gradeless Bunch. So the question is do we want the grades totally removed from the story? Or do we want the grades’ power to be removed, but they still exist at the school? This latter suggestion might be more realistic to the folks reading the story. Most likely, they’ll be at schools that still use grades. But our story might be one of transformation rather than simply elimination!
